Okay, so I guess I’ve got some explaining to do. I have been MIA from the blogging world for over 6 months now and I have no good reason for it – except for the fact that I’m engaged!!!! I am currently planning an Indian wedding (which is 3 days long), trying to run a business without getting overwhelmed (ha) and preparing myself emotionally to move out of the house I was born and grew up in. I didn’t think that moving out of my house would be such a big deal but literally moving out of your comfort zone can get pretty scary. (Also, how does one live away from their mother?! I am not prepared for this at all! I wonder if I can bring her with me?)
Anyway, one of the few things that puts me at ease whenever I am feeling overwhelmed or stressed out about being an adult (that has to no adultier adult to guide her), I resort to reading recipes and watching short cooking shows online. I’ve even started to watch Mukbang videos in the hopes that it would help me not give in to my cravings and learn some easy recipes in the process. So far, I know a lot of recipes and I’ve gained a few pounds! Woohoo!
Since I now have a list of recipes I want to try and I am going to have my own kitchen pretty soon, I’ve come up with a list of things I will absolutely need in my future kitchen along with some easy recipes that will allow me to work AND be a good wife! (Omg, I’m going to be a wife!)
De’Longhi is an Italian brand that is known for being one of the most durable brands on the market. Seeing that I am a natural born klutz, durability is the number one thing I look for in literally all my purchases. If I am going to purchase something, it better last me a while and De’Longhi is a brand that I am confident will last for years!
Anyway, here’s what is on my wish list:
1. De’Longhi Electric BBQ Grill BG 500C
This superstar grill has aluminum plates with ceramic durastone coating which means it has a high resistance to scratching (which is perfect for a klutz like me). It also has plates that distribute the heat evenly, which makes grilling your food so much easier. My favorite thing about this though will probably have to be the fact that 2/3 of the plate is a grill while 1/3 of it is a griddle, which means I can cook more than one thing at a time. Given it’s overall build, it looks like a kitchen item that will be very easy to cook on and very easy to clean. I can already imagine all the food I can grill on this thing. It even seems like I could have my very own Korean BBQ night at home using this grill!!
This grill also has a fat collector built in to it so you don’t have to feel SO guilty when you’re eating really delicious (read: fatty) food that was cooked on it!
2. De’Longhi Low-oil Fry and Multicooker Multifry Extra FH1363
Since I will be moving into an apartment, the kitchen isn’t exactly the biggest space in the house. In fact, it is HALF the size of the kitchen I have at home now so the De’Longhi Multicooker is probably the smartest thing to have in the kitchen because it is one appliance that has many different functions. You can make a large amount of anything from french fries, to pizza, to cakes, and even risotto! Truth be told, I am someone who likes to multitask and keep myself very busy so I would probably use this to make a lot of those one pot recipes, especially because the multicooker comes equipped with a removable mixing paddle which does the mixing for you while you keep busy doing something else as well as a transparent lid so checking if your food is done doesn’t require you to open up the lid! This also has a non stick and anti scratch coating, which again makes it perfect for me.
Pro Tip: Did you know De’Longhi has recipes on their website? No? Check them out!!
Which (sane) household doesn’t need a coffee maker? Honestly, coffee is life and if you don’t drink it, you are missing out!! Anyone who knows me knows how much I need coffee to function and what better way to make sure you get your fix than to make it at home? This drip coffee maker has an auto shut off function which allows you to get your coffee started, take a shower and come out to the wonderful smell of coffee (it also has a plate that keeps the coffee warm so you don’t need to worry). It also has a 10 cup capacity so if your household drinks a lot of coffee, you only need to make one full batch with the help of the water level indicator. Also, look at that vintage design. I have major heart eyes for this coffee maker!
I love how the sleek design and overall look of De’Longhi’s products can make absolutely anyone look like a pro in the kitchen. Seeing that this will be the first kitchen that I can call my own, I just know that I’m going to be very particular about things like durability, design and functionality – De’Longhi is able to deliver in all those departments.
