Eating healthy is always such a challenge for me because healthy food always either (1) tastes bland or (2) is expensive. It usually ends up feeling like a chore and you end up not enjoying your meal – and if there’s one thing I hate, it’s feeling full but not satisfied. All of this changes though once you discover the goodness that is Juju Eats.
Juju Eats is a no fuss restaurant which focuses solely on healthy eats like salads, wraps, cold pressed juices, and fresh fruit sodas. Their ingredients may not be organic but you can expect them to be fresh every single time and they have over 50 toppings and dressings which allow you to make at least 5,000 combinations of salads or wraps. Healthy food here is anything but boring because the flavors are bold and distinct. Each salad on the menu is carefully thought out up until the very last ingredient so that every thing blends well with the dressing and each other, each bite will prove to you that healthy eating does not have to be bland, boring, or expensive.
I always prefer trying out the most basic thing on a restaurant’s menu because once they can do that right then I can be sure that every other item on the menu will be satisfying as well.
Chicken Caesar – My personal favorite! It is great as a salad but even better as a wrap (though I wish it were bigger because eating just 1 will leave you wanting more, for sure). The chicken in the Caesar Salad is so flavorful, you actually forget that what you’re eating is healthy. The herb croutons give it the perfect crunch and the bacon, well, do I really need to explain to you the wonders of bacon?
Inasal Salad – I only tried this out because I was curious as to how to local flavors would taste as a salad. The green mango, egg and pork inasal perfectly highlight the local flavors although I wasn’t a fan on the dressing – it tasted just like vinegar. It’s worth trying though.
Big Boy – This can be quite filling and though it has to many ingredients for my personal preference, it is surely a crowd pleaser and especially popular with the men (probably because it’s a bigger serving than the others)
Ay Caramba! – This one is for those of you who love spicy food, the dressing for this salad gives it the kick you’re looking for. The nacho chips and salsa also add to the Mexican feel of this salad – it is their version of a Taco Salad.
Pesto Pasta – Some might find this salad a little bland so be sure to add a half order of chicken (and maybe more olives and some cashew nuts) to make this the perfectly guiltless pasta dish.
The thing I love most about Juju Eats is how nothing is hidden in the kitchen, all the veggies they have are perfectly lined up beneath a glass so you can pick and choose the different veggies you want in your salad! You even get to watch the lovely people at Juju Eats create the salad for you so you’re sure that there’s nothing else added.
You get a fresh, customized salad for a pocket friendly price.
